Community Events

Participate in community events that foster connection, learning, and celebration among our diverse congregation.

On the first and fourth Saturdays of the month (typically), discussions are held on living an ethical life and on the Jewish position on the soul and afterlife.

Monthly Adult Education

On the first Saturday of the month (usually),our own member and Secretary, Sandy Smail uses the book Soul Construction by Ruchi Koval as our guide forward on discussions on living an ethical life and self-improvement as we study the Jewish philosophy of Mussar.

When Rabbi Padorr visits (usually the 4th weekend), The book Does the Soul Survive by Rabbi Elie Kaplan Spitz is our guide for discussion on Jewish perspectives on the soul and afterlife. Often diverging from the text, it is a jumping off place to wide areas of discussion.

Our first showing Paper Clips was a powerful and emotional tribute to one middle school truly understanding the nature of the holocaust and it's stand against antisemitism.

Shabbat and a Show

Once a month (typically the second Friday of the month) we combine a shortened Shabbat eve service with a showing of a Jewish themed movie to create fellowship, strengthen our feelings of community, and laugh, cry, and, often, learn together - as One House.

In contrast, our second showing Jojo Rabbit presents a different angle on the holocaust, a roller-coaster combining satirical humor with the seriousness of the topic.

Beit Echad Sisterhood

On the third Sunday of the month (typically), the Beit Echad Sisterhood meets for fun activities, community service, and charitable giving. Membership is available to anyone interested in being part of their mission to foster connection, growth, commitment to community service and acts of kindness within our synagogue and beyond,
